Guayaquil, Oct 1 (EFE).- The disturbing images circulating on social media about the massacre in the Guayaquil jail Tuesday left horrifying human testimonies such as that of Marlene Palma, a mother of an inmate who Friday was waiting at a municipal morgue for the restitution of her son's head."I already got in. What happens was that they could not find the head (of my son) to give me the body, because they beheaded him and burned the head. So I'm waiting for the body. I already got in and they already helped me," a woman from the south of Guayaquil and a mother of the deceased inmate told EFE. Ecuador's armed forces took charge of the Guayaquil prison on Thursday on the orders of President Guillermo Lasso, who declared a 60-day state of emergency in the penal system.
