Mazda is committed to drastically reducing carbon emissions – by 2050, Mazda aims to be carbon neutral across all fields of operation. Electrifying vehicle powertrains will be one important factor in achieving this goal. But as Mazda believes the internal combustion engine (ICE) will still be powering the vast majority of cars in the coming years, full electrification can only be one aspect of a sustainable electrification strategy. Another important pillar will be improving the efficiency and performance of ICEs – through better combustion efficiency, environmentally friendly fuels like e-fuels, as well as electrification. Mazda is therefore committed to having all new models fully or partially electrified by 2030, delivering a vast range of different solutions for all individual mobility demands and regional conditions.
Renault Kardian is a compact urban B-segment vehicle with Renault’s DNA at the heart of its design, both in its style and its equipment. Its front end showcases the brand’s new stylistic identity, featuring the “Nouvel’R” logo and a new signature lighting pattern.Resolutely modern, Kardian boasts innovations and features usually reserved for higher segment vehicles – 17-inch rims, a high console with an “e-shifter” gear selector, as well as MULTI‑SENSE settings offering different driving modes and eight ambient lighting options. Renault Kardian is also equipped with six airbags, as well as 13 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as a blind spot warning system and a multi-view camera system.Kardian inaugurates a new Renault platform that is modular and highly versatile and will enable the development of a diverse range of models for a number of non-European markets. At launch, Kardian will feature an innovative mechanical combination in South America Kardian will be launched with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged of 125 hp with 220 Nm of torque direct injection engine coupled with an Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission.
Mercedes-Benz driving assistance and safety systems
TecDay Insight Safety: Mercedes-Benz shows the performance of state of the art brake control systems in its test facility in Immendingen. Various maneuvers are conducted both with production settings and in the so called engineering mode with all control systems (i.e. ABS, ESP) turned off.
TecDay Insight Safety: Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems enhance both comfort and safety. The demonstration simulates typical situations that may happen in real traffic. The assistance systems have a high potential to mitigate or even prevent accidents in those scenarios. Furthermore, the advantages of enhanced parking features were explained.
