This year, ŠKODA AUTO took part in the ‘Sachsen Classic’ vintage car rally (19 – 21/08/2021) with five historic ŠKODA models. The route began in Zwickau and continued through the Ore Mountains to Dresden. The third stage was held under the banner of ‘120 years of ŠKODA Motorsport’. The participants drove from Dresden to ŠKODA AUTO’s headquarters in Mladá Boleslav before returning again to Dresden.

  • The all new Kia EV6 presented at 2021 LA Auto Show

    After recently debuting the all-new fifth generation Sportage, Kia has unveiled an electrified version of the brand’s longest running nameplate at the Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS). The 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid (HEV) is the third model in an ongoing cadence of eco-minded offerings guided by Kia’s global EV strategy, ‘Plan S.’ This newest Kia follows in the footsteps of the recently launched EV6 and the Sorento PHEV to serve as another example of Kia’s multiple pathways to electrification.Arriving early next year, the Sportage Hybrid will deliver an ideal mix of fuel efficiency and power along with an abundance of room for gear. Significantly larger than the previous generation Sportage, the Hybrid will allow owners to enjoy class-leading rear seat legroom and rear cargo capacity.   • The Porsche Highlights of the LA Auto Show

    Porsche is cruising into the future in three lanes: alongside exhilarating petrol engines and powerful plug-in hybrids, electric powertrains form the third pillar of the powertrain strategy. This diversity will be on display at the LA Auto Show. In total, Porsche is exhibiting five world premieres. In addition to the new 718 Cayman GT4 RS – the highlight of the motor show – the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, the Taycan GTS, the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo and the Panamera Platinum Edition are making their first appearances.

  • The all-new Porsche Taycan GTS Premieres at the LA Autoshow

    GTS stands for Gran Turismo Sport. Ever since the creation of the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS in 1963, these three letters have held special significance for Porsche fans. Now, there is a derivative with this legendary letter combination in every Porsche model series. At the LA Auto Show (19 – 28 November 2021), the sports car manufacturer will present a new version of its electric sports car under the acronym GTS. With a range of up to 504 km (based on WLTP figures), the new sports model is the first Taycan to break the 500 km mark.The Taycan GTS is the dynamic all-rounder of the model range. With up to 440 kW (598 PS) of overboost when using Launch Control, its power is impressive. The chassis and optional rear-axle steering have also been specifically adapted to the GTS, while the exterior and interior have a distinctive look.The third body style of the first all-electric Porsche model series will also make its debut at the LA Auto Show: the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. The newcomer shares its sporty silhouette and rearward-sloping roof line with the Taycan Cross Turismo. Another feature they have in common is the functional design of the luggage compartment, which offers more than 1,200 litres of load capacity under the tailgate.The Taycan GTS and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo start from 131,834 and 132,786 euros (prices for Germany, including 19 per cent VAT and country-specific equipment). Both model variants will roll out to dealers in the spring of 2022. Further engine options for the Sport Turismo will follow.
