Colombia prepared to temporarily accept an unspecified number of Afghans

Bogotá, Aug 23 (EFE) .- (CAMERA: Juan Diego Lopez) The Vice President and Foreign Minister of Colombia, Marta Lucía Ramírez, explained this Monday that there is still no certainty about how many Afghans will be arriving in the country for their temporary stay until they are transferred to the United States or when they will come, but he assured that the country is prepared for their reception.The Vice President and Foreign Minister of Colombia, Marta Lucía Ramirez:"Right now, we don't know the precise number of the Afghan people that will arrive in our country. Nor do we know precisely when or what their profiles are like, how many men, how many women, how many families, if they arrive with children. The only thing we are sure of is that we have been preparing under the direction of President Ivan Duque and with the chief of staff to ensure that all logistics are ready for when they notify us of the arrival of the people."
