Satellite images captured by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows "extremely dangerous" Category 4 Hurricane Ida nearing the coast of Louisiana, in the Gulf of Mexico. The hurricane made landfall later in the day, 16 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina devastated the region. IMAGES
