The adaptive cruise control option includes automatic distance control, stop-and-go function, reversible occupant protection and an innovative autonomous Emergency Assist function.
The Porsche Penske Motorsport works team is fighting for victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona. At the three-quarter race distance mark, the #6 Porsche 963 was running in the lead for a while, before swapping the lead spot with the #7 sister car shortly afterwards. The hybrid prototypes fielded by the customer teams Proton Competition and JDC-Miller MotorSports remain on course for a top result. In the GTD classes, all five Porsche 911 GT3 Rs are still in contention.

After a two-year break, it's back – louder and with a broader scope than before: on Saturday, 18 September 2021, at 7:00 p.m., the Porsche Museum will start the engines of several racing and series production cars from the company collection that have written or will write history in the future on the world's race tracks. "We are delighted to be able to announce our first Digital Sound Night to fans and customers all over the world. The coronavirus pandemic has presented all of us with enormous challenges, but it has also led us to seek out new opportunities," explains Achim Stejskal, Head of Porsche Heritage and Museum. So this year, for the very first time we will broadcast the typical Porsche sound as a live Digitalevent in every country around the world."
Porsche is presenting a further performance-oriented plug-in hybrid model with the new Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. The intelligent combination of the 100 kW (136 PS) electric motor integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission and the 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine with 324 kW (440 PS) generates a system output of 412 kW and a maximum system torque of 750 Nm.The performance figures are therefore very impressive: combined with the standard Sport Chrono Package, the sprint from 0 – 100 km/h is covered in 3.7 seconds. The top speed is 298 km/h. The gross battery capacity has been increased from 14.1 to 17.9 kWh compared with the previous hybrid models using optimised cells and the driving modes have been optimised for even more efficient energy utilisation. The 4S E-Hybrid has an all-electric range of up to 54 km in accordance with WLTP EAER City (NEDC: up to 64 km).
