Brett Bailey's new take on classic tale 'Samson' at Avignon theatre festival

Description

As the prestigious international theatre festival of Avignon opens this week in the southern French city, we take a look at what to expect after the Covid-cancelled 2020 edition. We also talk to award-winning playwright and director Brett Bailey, whose new play "Samson" is being performed at the festival. He tells us how he tackled the dynamics of post-colonialism through his take on the classic Biblical tale.
