Quezon City, Jul 9 (EFE/EPA).- The government of Philippines disbursed on Friday relief funding as part of ongoing efforts to support citizens affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to records of the government's Department of Social Welfare and Development, some 18 million families affected economically by the COVID-19 pandemic are looking to get a boost from government welfare programs, which in turn have faced difficulties in manual and digital payout schemes more than a year since various levels of lockdown protocols have been implemented.
