El Salvador court grants asset freezing of the Arena opposition party over corruption

San Salvador, Jul 2 (EFE).- El Salvadoran court authorized the Attorney General's Office (FGR) to seize Friday the assets of the opposition party Nationalist Republican Alliance (Arena) for the alleged fund embezzlement, said the Public Ministry.The authorities of the FGR and the Police took control of the Arena headquarters in San Salvador, seized the funds that the party received from elections and froze other assets worth around $3.9, according to Attorney General Rodolfo Delgado.
