After the short helicopter trip from the Bethesda, Maryland, hospital back to the White House lawn, the president disembarked and climbed a staircase to a second-floor balcony festooned with US flags and took off his facemask when he reached the top. An ambulance believed to be carrying Norway's ailing King Harald V leaves a hospital on the island of Langkawi with a police escort. Harald was admitted to the hospital on the Malaysian island, where he was on holiday, with an infection on Tuesday. He is expected to return home on Sunday. IMAGES
