France: Illegal rave continues Saturday morning despite overnight clashes with police

Description

The area near the Redon racetrack in western France is completely cordoned off by the police while an illegal rave party continues in the early morning with some revellers. Overnight, five police officers were injured as they broke up the 1,500-strong illegal rave, authorities said Saturday, with one partygoer losing a hand in the clashes. The rave had originally been set up in memory of a young man killed in nearby city Nantes two years ago during France's annual nationwide Fete de la Musique celebration. IMAGES
