This year, France had its driest July on record and wildfires have been rampant in the south of the country.
Stunned by the heat wave, the homeless find refuge every day at the Agora, the Emmaus Solidarity reception center in Paris. During the day, between 200 and 300 homeless people can enjoy a shower, access to the water fountain, but also meet with social workers to be helped in their daily lives.
A state of maximum alert has been declared after several wildfires broke out across the Gard and Bouches-du-Rhône regions.
