Cambodia preserves "first drop of crude oil" extracted from its waters

Description

Phnom Penh, Jun 9 (EFE/EPA).- The Ministry of Mines and Energy of Cambodia on Wednesday handed over the first drop of crude oil to be preserved in the Win-Win Memorial, a monument that marks the Khmer Rouge guerrillas surrender to the government in 1998. Cambodia's oil ambitions are mired in uncertainties after the Singapore-listed oil and gas exploration company filed for liquidation on 4 June 2021. The country's first drop of crude oil was extracted on December 28 from the A-01D well – part of the five-well mini-platform featured in KrisEnergy’s “Mini-Phase 1A” development.
