Images show Russian law enforcement blocking access to a road leading to the site of a plane crash which is thought to have killed Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Russian mercenary group Wagner. According to preliminary information, all 10 people on board died, including three crew members, Russian authorities said. Russia's aviation agency later said the Wagner chief was on board the plane. The United States will soon announce measures against Russia's Wagner mercenary group over its past activities in Africa, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller says during a news briefing. SOUNDBITE
"Wherever we've seen Wagner operate in the past, we've seen death and destruction follow in their wake," says US Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller. During his press briefing, he tells reporters that the United States "will continue to take actions to hold either Wagner or their successor accountable." SOUNDBITE
