Kabul (Afghanistan), Sep 14 (EFE / EPA).- United Nations (UN) flights with humanitarian workers, food and essential items have returned to operate to Kabul after their interruption on September 15 by the takeover of the Taliban. The United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS), in operation since August 29 in the Afghan cities of Mazar-i-Sharif, Kandahar and Herat, resumed its liaison with the capital on Sunday, the World Food Program reported today of the UN (WFP), based in Rome. Helmand/Kandahar, Jun 8 (EFE/EPA).- The Taliban captured two more districts in the last 24 hours in northwestern Afghanistan, taking the number of fallen districts to 11 in the last one month as foreign forces began their withdrawal from the country.Qaisar district in the insecure Faryab province and Shahrak district in Ghor province fell to the insurgents overnight, official sources said Monday.The security forces made a "tactical retreat" from Shahrak district, according to a statement by Ghor Governor Abdul Zahir Faiz.
