Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Oct 14 (EFE).- Spanish authorities rescued Thursday 30 sub-Saharan migrants from a boat 148 kilometers south of Gran Canaria as well as another group of 200 migrants traveling in another boat. They were all accompanied by the Spanish authorities to the port in Gran Canaria. Arguineguín, Aug 28 (EFE).- A total of 27 migrants traveling in a canoe about 500 kilometers southwest of the Spanish island of El Hierro were rescued and transferred to the Arguineguín dock Saturday by authorities.Four bodies were also found on board while one of the migrants arrived with cardiorespiratory arrest and died shortly afterwards despite the efforts of the Red Cross and the Canary Islands Health Service personnel.
