New Delhi, Sep 29 (EFE/EPA).- Bilkis Dadi, an 82-year-old Indian activist, was included in the list of the 100 most influential people of 2020 according to Time magazine.Bilkis Dadi became the face of the resistance against the controversial Citizenship Law, which gives citizenship to immigrants from neighboring countries as long as they are not Muslim.This amendment allows to regularize immigrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh who arrived in the country before December 31, 2014 and who belong to the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian religions.It specifically leaves Muslims out of this way to obtain citizenship and sparks fear among this minority of nearly 200 million people in India of being treated as second-class citizens.(Camera: RAJAT GUPTA)SHOT LIST: BILKIS BANO PRESSER IN NEW DELHI, INDIA.
