Lebanon is suffering its worst economic crisis since the end of the civil war (1975-1990) with an inflation that has reached 17% this year, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), compared to 2.9% last year, which has caused the price of products to rise. Many citizens fear that growing unemployment, poverty, the devaluation of the Lebanese pound and the COVID-19 pandemic, could lead to another violent conflict.
