South America 'deserves' to host 2030 World Cup: CONMEBOL president

"We believe that it is very important and deserving that the world recognises that South America has contributed and continues to contribute to world football," says CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez in an event at Montevideo's Estadio Centenario as Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile launch a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup, 100 years on from the first tournament which was played in Uruguay.
