Gorbachev laid to rest in Moscow cemetery

Description

Mikhail Gorbachev's coffin, surrounded by a procession and Guard of honour, is carried to his grave in the prestigious Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. Gorbachev, the last Soviet leader, died on 30 August at the age of 91, following a "long and serious illness", said the hospital where he was being treated. IMAGES
