First part of South African anti-graft investigation released
South Africa's Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo hands over the first part of a report in a long-awaited probe into state corruption under former president Jacob Zuma to President Cyril Ramaphosa in a ceremony in Pretoria. The remaining two instalments will be handed over in February. At the press conference, President Ramaphosa calls the report "a defining moment in our country's effort to definitely end the era of state capture". IMAGES
In tonigh'ts edition: United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres expressed concern in a statement Tuesday about the humanitarian situation in Ethiopia's Tigray region, saying "urgent steps" must be taken as the government denies allegations by three opposition parties that there are over 50,000 civilian deaths. And in South Africa, the anti-graft inqquiry commission slams Zuma's defiance at appearing in court.
Former South African President, Jacob Zuma, is facing 16 charges relating to a 1990''s arms deal. He has denied any wrongdoing. The case was posponed to give Zuma more time to prepare his case.
