Liz Truss arrives by car at Queen Elizabeth II's remote Balmoral retreat in the Scottish Highlands to be formally appointed as the United Kingdom's Prime Minister and invited to form a government by the 96-year-old monarch. Truss, 47, was announced winner of an internal vote of Conservative party members on Monday, after a gruelling contest that began in July.
