Allies' military backing for Ukraine is paying off on the battlefield, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says, as he hosts a new round of talks on boosting Kyiv militarily. Noting that Ukrainian forces have begun their counter-offensive in the south of the country, Austin says that "now, we're seeing the demonstrable success of our common efforts on the battlefield." On March 30, Russia's foreign minister made his first visit to China since the start of the war in Ukraine, declaring that Moscow and Beijing will move towards a "multipolar, just, democratic world order". US President Joe Biden, meanwhile, told a business roundtable meeting that the US must lead what he described as a "new world order".
