Plus, faced with skyrocketing costs of living, Spain's youth are struggling to become financially independent... the average age to leave their parents' home has now gone above 30.
Meanwhile, search and rescue operations continue in Morocco following last week's 6.8 magnitude earthquake that killed nearly 3 thousand people. With hopes of finding survivors dwindling, teams are working hard to get aid to those who did survive the disaster. FRANCE 24's Luke Shrago tells us more from Marrakesh.
The earthquake that struck Morocco late Friday has killed more than 2,100 people, with the death toll expected to increase as rescuers reach hard-hit remote mountain areas. Rescuers are facing a growing race against time to dig any survivors from the rubble of devastated villages in the Atlas mountains. For more on the deadly 6.8-magnitude quake that struck southwest of the city of Marrakesh, FRANCE 24's Monte Francis is joined by Dr. William Lawrence, former US Diplomat, Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at American University's School of International Service in Washington DC and former North Africa Project Director at International Crisis Group.
As the death toll from a wildfire that razed a historic Maui town reached 93, authorities warned Saturday that the effort to find and identify the dead was still in its early stages. It's already the deadliest US wildfire for over a century.
