Dozens of people gather in downtown Rio de Janeiro to demonstrate in solidarity with football player Vinicius Junior who this week was the victim of racist abuse while playing for Real Madrid in Spain.
In solidarity with Brazilian footballer Vinicius Junior, who was targeted with racist abuse, the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro turned off its lights for one hour. There has been an outpouring of condemnation in Vinicius's native Brazil since racist slurs were shouted at the Real Madrid star during the club's 1-0 loss at Valencia on Sunday. IMAGES
