Flash floods in North Korea kill hundreds and affect hundreds of thousands more, the International Red Cross says. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
The President of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen met locals in Cesena on Thursday after last week's devastating floods.
Emilia Romagna is one of Italy’s richest regions and the impact of the floods has raised questions about why funding allocated to counter hydrological instability has not been used.
Floods have also hit Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia. While Italy is set for more travel disruption with airport strikes tomorrow.
Images showing flooded farmland, neighbourhoods and rivers in Italy’s northern region of Emilia Romagna following downpours earlier this week. More than 10,000 people have been evacuated from their homes and hundreds of landslides have been reported.
