On Sunday, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said Pres. Donald Trump should begin the transition process to President-elect Joe Biden. "President Trump has had the opportunity to litigate his claims, and the courts have thus far found them without merit." Murkowski was one of the first Republican senators to congratulate the president-elect. Murkowski's statement came a day after a judge dismissed a Trump campaign lawsuit in Pennsylvania.

The man who set himself on fire outside the court where Donald Trump is standing trial is in "critical condition" at a burn center in New York, authorities tell reporters. "Civilians, officers, members of the police department, they run into the park, they make efforts to put him out. They use their coats, they use fire extinguishers. Eventually, FPNY (New York Fire Patrol) respond, (they) were able to extinguish the fire," Chief Maddrey tells a press conference on the scene, outside the court where Donald Trump is standing trial. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says Ukraine has an "urgent, critical need for more air defence", at a G7 foreign ministers meeting on Capri. Ukraine has struggled on the battlefield for months, outgunned and outnumbered by Russian forces amid a shortage of Western military aid. SOUNDBITE
