IATA director criticizes "unnecessary" air travel restrictions

Boston, Oct 5 (EFE).- The general director of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Willie Walsh, said on Tuesday that the "unnecessary" air transport restrictions that countries maintain would cost the the aviation sector this year $40 billion, and would also delay the recovery.During an interview with Efe at the end of the 77th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Boston, Walsh pointed out that border closures are no longer justifiable at this time.
