Uzbekistan President Mirziyoyev greets supporters on stage after election victory

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev appears on stage to greet supporters after he cruised to victory in an election that monitors have said was "not truly competitive" despite some reforms in the authoritarian Central Asian state. Uzbekistan's Central Election Commission said Mirziyoyev had taken 80.1 percent of the vote against four token opponents, according to a preliminary count. IMAGES
