'We need to act immediately' on climate change, IOM chief warns world leaders

FRANCE 24 spoke to Antonio Vitorino, the director general of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the world's main intergovernmental body dealing with migration. This year, more than 30 million people were displaced because of climate change, according to IOM figures. Amid some pessimism over the likely outcome of the upcoming COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Vitorino warned world leaders: "We need to act immediately".
