Trade Secretary Liz Truss leaves Downing Street after having been appointed as Foreign secretary. Truss, who had been overseeing the UK's post-Brexit trade deals, replaces Dominic Raab who had come under fire over his handling of the Afghan crisis. IMAGES

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky meets British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly in Kyiv. Cleverly announced new aid for Ukraine during his visit, including ambulances and support for victims of sexual violence by Russian soldiers.
