Hundreds march in Guatemala City to support indigenous and black resistance

Guatemala City, Oct 12 (EFE).- Hundreds of Guatemalans, mainly indigenous people, marched Tuesday along the main avenues of Guatemala City to protest against racism as well as to support the indigenous and black resistance.The call was made by various social organizations to protest against the commemoration of the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the American continent on Oct. 12, 1492, a day which Spain considers as "National Day".
