The all-new 2019 Volkswagen Arteon has arrived in the US, sporting a sleek gran turismo design, upscale interior, innovative technology, and available 4Motion all-wheel drive. Balancing efficient, yet powerful performance, the Arteon combines styling and technology in a manner rarely seen outside of high-end luxury sedans. As with models ranging from the Golf to the Atlas SUV, the 2019 Arteon is built on Volkswagen's award-winning MQB platform, which allows for its distinct, dynamic proportions and spacious interior.The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon will be available in SE, SEL, and SEL Premium trim levels and is anticipated to arrive at U.S. Volkswagen dealers in May 2019. Every Arteon model will come with the People First Warranty, America's Best Bumper-to-Bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The warranty provides coverage for six years or 72,000 miles (whichever occurs first), and the warranty can be transferred to subsequent owners throughout the remainder of its duration.MSRP for the VW Arteon SE starts at $35,845, with standard driver-assistance systems and a host of upscale convenience features. The SEL trim starts at $39,995, adding features such as Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, Nappa leather seating surfaces, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go. The top-of-the-line SEL Premium starts at $44,945, and brings upscale luxury with ventilated front seats, a massaging driver's seat, a heated steering wheel, and a suite of driver-assistance systems including Park Assist and Overhead View Camera (Area View). R-Line trims add either 19-inch wheels ($1,265) or 20-inch wheels ($1,765) and paddle shifters, along with unique design elements inside and out. 4Motion all-wheel-drive adds $1,800 to SE and SEL models and comes standard on SEL Premium models. Destination for all Arteon models is $995.

The interior is refined, among other things, by seats in black ArtVelours with the "R" logo in the front seat backrests and the "R" multifunction sports steering wheel with large shift paddles for the DSG. Also standard: aluminum applications in "carbon style" and an additional "R" layout for the digital instruments ("digital cockpit"). The decorative stitching on the seats and the front armrests, as well as the gear lever cover and the leather sports steering wheel are set off in the blue typical of the Volkswagen R. The interior of the center steering wheel bezel is also blue. The standard ambient lighting can also be set to a matching blue (one of 30 colors). A sports seat system with integrated headrests (front) is also available as an option; the leather of these nappa carbon seats has a carbon look in the area of the side bolsters.
Volkswagen brought the new Arteon to market last Autumn, and with it an additional body variant: the new Arteon Shooting Brake. Now the powerful top models have been added, and their key data is impressive: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, an optional increase in maximum speed to 270 km/h, plus permanent all-wheel drive with the sophisticated R-Performance Torque Vectoring technology, which distributes power individually between the rear wheels and enables even higher cornering speeds.The exclusive R colour Lapiz Blue is available for both body variants. The high-performance braking system with blue brake callipers and R logo and the distinct front air intakes not only look good, but also enhance performance. The suspension is tuned for a sportier drive, and the DCC adaptive dampers can be steplessly adjusted using the touchscreen in the cockpit. The driver can select Comfort, Sport, Race or Individual driving mode using the R button on the steering wheel – and the list of benefits does not stop there.
