    Panasonic Jaguar Racing have revealed their brand-new all electric racecar to challenge for season six of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. The British team’s official launch in front of VIPs, media, partners and fans was at Jaguar’s brand-new design studio in Gaydon, Warwickshire – the most advanced automotive design centre in the world. The Jaguar I-TYPE 4, featuring an all-new motor, gearbox, invertor, rear suspension and dampers has seen its overall weight reduced offering improved handling and performance. The lightest and most efficient powertrain the team has ever produced, the Jaguar I-TYPE 4 has a lower centre of gravity and will allow the team to push towards even more points, podiums and wins in season six.

    Panasonic Jaguar Racing unveiled the all-new Jaguar I-TYPE 3 second-generation Formula E racecar at the Design Museum, London. The bold new design pushes the boundaries of innovation and technology, showcasing the future of electric motor racing. Panasonic Jaguar Racing have developed their entire powertrain in-house, reinforcing the team’s mission – ‘Race to Innovate’. These bespoke Jaguar components consist of the motor generator unit (MGU), silicon carbide module invertor, transmission, cooling system, suspension, motor control unit (MCU) and new powertrain control software. The advanced MGU revs in excess of 30,000 RPM, more than double the rate of a 2018 Formula 1 car, enabling the Jaguar I-TYPE 3 to accelerate from 0-100 KPH in 2.8 seconds.

  • Jaguar TCS Racing approach their eighth season in Formula E with strongest driver line-up

    Jaguar TCS Racing head into the 2024 season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship off the back of their best performance to date and with one of the strongest driver line-ups on the grid. Between Kiwis Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy, they hold 15 wins, 37 podiums, 11 pole positions and 1,076 championship points in Formula E, in addition to a lifetime of shared experiences as the duo grew up together racing in New Zealand.Jaguar TCS Racing start the new season as a strong contender, having completed the 2023 season with four wins, 11 podiums, three pole positions, and 292 points, improving on and surpassing the achievements gained in previous seasons of Formula E. The 2023 season was also the third year in succession that the British team fought for the team or drivers’ titles up to the last race of the season.
