CCTV footage from Kiev showed the moment that the sidewalk bubbled up and brown muck exploded everywhere after a heating pipe burst on Goloseevsky Prospekt near the city center. The rushing water sent pieces of sidewalk and other rubble shooting out in all directions, breaking windows in nearby flats and damaging cars parked in the vicinity. The entire block corner was covered in a layer of dirty muck after the incident.

Video courtesy of Vlad Alexsson and Anna Alekseenko captured the moment when a series of explosions rocked the Russian city of Murmansk, lighting up the sky and cutting power to whole districts of the town. A major blast at the Kolenergo thermal power plant illuminated the night sky over the subarctic city of 300,000 people on Tuesday, causing blackouts and scaring locals right as winter is setting in, with temperatures hovering around 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Workers from EMERCOM, or the Russian Emergency Ministry, responded to the event quickly and were able to bring on reserve generators within an hour, so the blackouts didn't last very long, but the explosions did certainly make for some incredible visuals as thousands of homes were plunged into darkness in the largest city in the world located north of the Arctic Circle. The port city connects north-west Russia to the Arctic Ocean, through which dry goods like coal, oil, and fish are shipped to Europe and Asia. Investigations are ongoing at the site but the cause of the explosions remains unknown at this time
CCTV footage captured the moment a gas explosion ripped through a high-rise flat in the city of Ryazan, about 120 miles southeast of Moscow, in the early hours of Sunday, sending a huge boom through the neighborhood and a massive shower of concrete and debris on to cars parked below. A total of three people died and more than dozens were injured in the incident. The blast caused structural damage to the top floors of the 11-story flat. More than 70 people were placed in a temporary shelter set in a nearby school. An investigation into what caused the explosion is currently underway.
New CCTV footage emerged late on Tuesday evening of the moment at which Istanbul Ataturk Airport was rocked by an explosion. The footage appears to show a man being shot and, subsequently, detonating an explosive device. The blast tore through the airport terminal. This was one of two explosions to hit the airport on Tuesday evening. Latest estimates state that up to 50 people may have died in the attack.
