A four-month-old elk rescued from a flood now lives with his rescuers in their home in Voronezh Oblast. Olesya Kostyanaya found elk, called Fantik and took it home. The animal seemed to be very weak but Olesya managed to nurse it back to health. Now Fantik is a part of the family and Olesya calls him her ‘third son’. However, in a few weeks, Fantik is due to eave his new family to live in a nature reserve nearby.
One cat took a lynx cub under its wing after its mother abandoned it. Another welcomed a baby squirrel to be part of the family. After a monkey was rejected by its a parent, the cat belonging to the director of Tumen zoo decided to nurse it. Meanwhile, eight orphaned hogs lost their mom in a car accident and found an unlikely wet-nurse in Musya the cat.
