Real Love? Japanese Grooms Get Married to Anime Brides Through VR

Description

One new service in Japan lets star-struck lovers of cartoon characters express their infatuation in the ultimate way - people in Japan can now marry their virtual boyfriend or girlfriend in the ultimate virtual wedding ceremony. The concept comes from anime game 'Niitzuma LovelyxCation', where players are able to find a girlfriend and develop a relationship in virtual reality. Hibiki Works created a way to give fans an ability to express their love in the real world, tying together a human with a virtual lover through a real world wedding ceremony with the help of VR glasses.

  • Why It's A Good Thing Godzilla Isn't The Real Deal

Since his debut in 1954, beloved Japanese giant nuke-lizard Godzilla has gotten bigger and bigger. He also helps design fantastical creatures for TV and film. And according to Business Insider, Habib says if Godzilla were actually a living creature, he'd be unable to lift his own weight. Not only that, he'd be brain-dead long before he ever reached a city because his heart is neither large nor powerful enough to pump blood to his head. What's more, Habib says Godzilla's nerve-conduction speed would be so slow that he wouldn't be able to move!
