Poutine / Macron : la poignée de main à Versailles

Description

  • Opposition to Macron's main reform in the streets of Paris

Paris (France), Dec. 5 (EFE / EPA) .- A strike Thursday with huge follow-up in key sectors such as transport or education underwent a hard pulse, which will continue, to the riskier reform that the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, has launched in his mandate: pensions.(CAMERA: Paula Bayarte)IMAGES STATEMENTS BY PARTICIPANTS IN THE MARCH.Translation: -Silvio Braz, student. This morning I took the train at 06:30 to go to Montparnasse just in case, I didn't know how the situation would be. At the station I have been told that there was no subway and to go to school I had to take the electric scooter of the municipal service, it was the simplest. The strike for pensions is very important because we don't work for nothing. We work, so then we have to be able to enjoy everything we have worked for. I support the strike even if it is necessary to find a way to go to work because it is important to support the movement.- Gonzalo Pérez, tourist. We arrived yesterday because we changed the tickets a week ago because we had to arrive today because we were afraid they would cancel the flight and we arrived yesterday. It has had an economic cost because changing the tickets has cost me 200 euros. What we have done is rent a car to avoid relying on the metro and public transport.Parking the car is complicated ... at the moment in the center it is not so bad, once you are in Paris, to transport you outside is something else. Thanks to the strike there is less entity, it is more empty.- Jean Bernard Soulié, financier.Coming by bicycle has been a nice change, it's a bit cold, so it's hard, but it's quite nice, it's another way to get around... Today people at work have organized with telecommuting with a computer connection as if they were in the office. The difficulty lies in whether the strike continues. I could do telecommuting, but I knew I could come by bicycle, five kilometers with the red traffic lights is just over half an hour.-Catherine Luzet, art teacher.I am here to defend the social advances achieved after the war. Although at that time the GDP was very low we managed to build social security and solidarity mechanisms for retirement. Today the GDP is much higher and the country is richer and rights achieved with much difficulty after the war are questioned. The reform of Macron is unfair because it seeks to privatize social security, seeks to break the solidarity that was created... What I hope today is not especially that Macron will react, but an awareness of all the French people, that the people listen to the word of their brothers and sisters and not simply the word manipulated by certain television networks such as BFM or TF1, I hope that the true word of the people is heard.Odette Terrade, retired.I fear that when the government revises point by point the retirement schedule, that the retirement of retirees will fall and that it will fluctuate depending on the economic moment the country is undergoing at the time. I have a retirement from the administration, but I see that many pensions are very low, especially those of women of my generation, who often looked after children and do not have full years of work, that have worked from home and it is complicated, they have low pensions. In the protests of 1995, I also protested myself, there I was working, what is serious is that today with that retirement system it will be a minimum retirement and then it would be necessary to create a separate private retirement. The government of Macron gives power to the bankers, to the capitalists, to force us to get complementary pensions.
