The U.S. Air Force will reportedly announce a decision to go with Boeing's commercial 747-8 airliner as a replacement for Air Force One's current fleet of presidential aircraft. Vanessa Johnston reports.

United Launch Alliance (ULA) launched a Delta IV rocket carrying the eighth satellite in the US Air Force’s Wideband Global Satcom system, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on Wednesday evening. The WGS-8 Air Force communications satellite was successfully launched into orbit at 18:52 ET. WGS-8 satellites are constructed by Boeing, each spacecraft has a design lifespan of fourteen years.
