Twenty-five people, mostly teenage boys, were killed Thursday when a blaze tore through a Malaysian religious school, in what officials said was one of the country's worst fire disasters for years. IMAGES
Passersby saved the life on a nine-year-old child who jumped from a burning building in Tomsk on Thursday. The footage shows a boy jumping onto advertisement banner that was stretched out by a group of locals, who had organised themselves before firefighters could arrive. The boy was then delivered to a local hospital, suffering only from a slight concussion.
In Moscow, large crowds gather outside the Crocus concert hall to lay flowers in tribute to the victims of the attack on Friday 22 March that left at least 137 people dead, three of whom are children. IMAGES
Helicopters and emergency service vehicles have rushed to Crocus City Hall after gunmen opened fire on a rock concert at the suburban Moscow theatre which was then set ablaze, killing an estimated 40 people and wounding at least 100 more, according to Russia's FSB.
