The passenger compartment of the Juke remained stable in the frontal offset test. Dummy readings indicated good protection of the kneesand femurs of the driver and passenger. Nissan showed that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of different sizesand to those sitting in different positions. Protection of the front passenger was good for all critical body areas. In the full-width rigid barriertest, protection of all critical body regions was good or adequate for both the driver and rear passenger. In the side barrier impact, protection of all critical body areas was good and the car scored full points in this test. In the more severe side pole test, protection of thechest was rated as adequate, with good protection of other parts of the body. Tests on the front seats and head restraints demonstratedgood protection against whiplash injuries in the event of a rear-end collision. • Nissan Ariya - Crash & Safety Tests - 2022

The all-electric Nissan Ariya and the Nissan X-Trail e-Power shine with five out of five stars in the current Euro NCAP crash test. The top rating from the independent testing organization, which also applies to the Juke Hybrid and the Qashqai e-Power, underlines the uncompromising safety of the electrified Nissan models.Whether occupant protection for adults or children, the protection of vulnerable road users or the arsenal of assistance systems: the Nissan Ariya and the X-Trail e-Power impress in all four test categories. For the protection of adult occupants, for example, there are excellent 86 percent (Ariya) and 88 percent of the points (X-Trail). Both models feature a high proportion of ultra high strength steel in key areas. These reinforcements improve rigidity and effectively absorb the forces involved in an accident before they reach the passenger compartment. The additional central airbag in both vehicles prevents the heads of the driver and front passenger from colliding in the event of a side impact. As a result, maximum points of 14.9 (Ariya) and 16 (X-Trail) are achieved in this crash test. When it comes to protecting children, the two vehicles, which are based on different platforms, achieve almost identical top values of 89 (Ariya) and 90 percent (X-Trail). In the event of a crash, the six to ten-year-old children are so well protected on the X-Trail that Euro NCAP awards 23.3 out of a possible 24 points. The Ariya has a similarly good top score of 22.9 points. The installation of child restraint systems was also given a maximum of 12 points in both vehicles.
