The Ruby Princess cruise ship left Australian waters on Thursday after spending weeks docked amid a criminal investigation into how passengers were allowed to disembark in Sydney last month, sparking hundreds of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Relatives of the more than 500 Filipino workers aboard the virus-hit Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan are appealing for their loved ones to be repatriated immediately on Saturday. They met with the employer, Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, in Manila to discuss the health status of the workers as well as repatriation and quarantine procedures.
