Images distribured by South Korea's Defence Ministry show US B-1B long-range heavy bombers and F-35 jets taking part in joint air drills with South Korea called "Vigilant Storm". The ramped-up show of force comes after a blitz of missile launches by North Korea earlier this week. IMAGES
Russian Defence ministry images show drills on the military training fields of Kuzminskiy and Kadamovskiy, near Rostov-on-Don, less than 50 kilometres from the Ukrainian border. According to the ministry, more than 2.5 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District took part in the combat training events, about 100 T-72B3 tanks were involved. IMAGES
Russia and Belarus launched massive military drills on Friday, with NATO-member Poland warning of possible "provocations" as tensions rise on the European Union's eastern border. Moscow said 200,000 personnel would take part in the week-long Zapad-2021 military exercise in Belarus, western Russia and the Baltic Sea, one of the country's biggest drills in recent years. IMAGES
