Hong Kong gold retailer loses luster

Description

Ongoing pro-democracy protests are keeping mainland shoppers away from Hong Kong’s jewelry shops, and mega-retailer Chow Tai Fook has been hit hard. Chinese gold buyers wary of anti-corruption crackdowns are also not as eager to spend despite falling precious metal prices. Pamela Ambler reports.
