The Pokemon Go sensation arrived at the US State Department in Washington DC, on Thursday, when a journalist was told off for playing the popular game during the daily briefing from spokesperson John Kirby. During his update on the ongoing efforts to defeat the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), Kirby noticed a journalist using his phone, saying: "you're playing the Pokemon thing right there, aren't you," a query which was subsequently confirmed by the reporter.

"I can confirm that the United States provided Ukraine with long-range ATACMs at the President's direction," US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel tells reporters. Biden "quietly directed his national security team to send ATACMs to Ukraine for use inside Ukrainian sovereign territory in February. They started moving as part of the military aid package we announced on March 12th," Patel adds. SOUNDBITE
