  • Islamist Cleric Anjem Choudary Sentenced to 5 and Half Years in Jail

    British Muslim political activist Anjem Choudary appeared Monday at London's Central Criminal Court for sentencing, for "inviting support" for the Islamic State and other militant Islamist groups. He was sentenced to five and half years of jail-time, most of which will likely be spent in solitary confinement in a bid to stop the activist from spreading his teachings to other inmates.
