The US West Point military academy finds no apparent contents in a 200-year-old time capsule recently discovered inside the base of a monument at West Point, New York, and believed to have been left by cadets in the 1820s. "The box didn't quite meet expectations," says an expert during the unveiling ceremony, adding that his team will collect a layer of silt from the bottom of the box to see if they can find any remains in it. At the Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, in Las Vegas, NV, a robot called the AvatarMind iPal was present. The robot is meant to be a source of companionship for children, the elderly, and hospitality/retail. It’s the size of a small child, weighs 28 lbs, and has four wheels. You can tickle it by jabbing its ribs fairly hard so it will emit fake laughter and robotic arm flailing.
