The U.S. Department of Justice has cleared former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson of civil rights violations in the shooting death of Michael Brown. Linda So reports.
Attorney General William Barr announces that the US is sending home 21 Saudis after a probe into the December 2019 shooting at Pensacola Naval Air Station. After learning of 'derogatory materials' possessed by those 21 personnel says Barr, "the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia determined that this material demonstrated conduct unbecoming an officer...and will be returning to Saudi Arabia later today." Officials in Baton Rouge, Louisiana say they have turned the investigation into the shooting of a black man by two white police officers over to the Justice Department. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
The U.S. Justice Department concludes that the Ferguson, Missouri police department routinely engages in racially biased practices, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation. Jillian Kitchener reports.
