Japanese airbag manufacturer Takata Corporation on Tuesday announced that it will recall nearly 34 million vehicles in the United States, the largest vehicle recall in American history.
Reuters has learned U.S. regulators are examining whether to expand the Takata airbag recalls by up to 90 million more from the 29 million recalled so far. Fred Katayama reports.
