Northern California Wildfire Is Contained, But Continues To Rage

Ahead of a wildfire engulfing a portion of the Eldorado National Forest near Sacramento, California, thousands of structures were threatened and hundreds of people were foreced to flee their homes on Friday July 1st. Firefighters have been able to contain the fire, which has blackened 2,151 acres. Forest Service Spokesperson Jennifer Chapman says, "Right now, the weather is hot but the winds are light, which is good news," "It doesn't look like we're going to have a massive, rapid growth right now." Two people working on the fire suffered minor injuries and have since been treated, Chapman added.
